A & C CHRISTOFI LTD | CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY

Effective Date: 1 December 2025


1. Purpose & Scope

This Policy governs cancellation, rescheduling, and refunds for all services offered by A & C Christofi Ltd (ICPAC Licence E543/2023). It applies to website bookings, paid consultations, fixed-fee packages, and all other services unless a signed Engagement Letter contains different terms, in which case the Engagement Letter shall prevail.

2. Important Principle – Professional Services Are Predominantly B2B

The vast majority of our clients are businesses, company directors, trusts, and high-net-worth individuals acting in a commercial capacity. Consequently, the 14-day consumer cooling-off right does not apply once we have begun performing the service with your express prior consent.

2.1 Express Request to Begin Services Immediately

By booking online, purchasing a fixed-fee package, or signing an Engagement Letter, you expressly request that we begin providing services immediately and acknowledge that any applicable right to cancel under the EU Consumer Rights Directive is lost once work has commenced.

3. Definitions

  • Consultation: Any initial or follow-up paid meeting (in-person, Zoom, or telephone)
  • Fixed-Fee Package: Pre-paid service bundles purchased via the website
  • Engagement Letter: A binding contract defining scope, terms, fees, and responsibilities
  • Notice: Written notice sent to info@acccyp.com
  • Commencement of Work: Includes conflicts checks, AML/KYC onboarding, document review, scheduling, or staff allocation

4. Free Resources & Website Use

Newsletters, blogs, calculators, and general website browsing are provided free of charge and may be discontinued at any time without notice.

5. Initial Paid Consultations (30 or 60 Minutes)

6. Fixed-Fee Packages Purchased Online

  • Payment is taken in full at booking
  • Full refund only if no work has started and cancellation is within 24 hours
  • Once work commences, the fee becomes 100% non-refundable

6.1 Client Delay or Non-Cooperation

If work cannot begin or be completed due to client delay, missing documents, or non-attendance, the fee becomes non-refundable after 7 days from our request.

7. Ongoing Monthly / Retainer Services

Termination requires 60 calendar days’ written notice. Fees during the notice period remain payable in full.

8. Project-Based & Fixed-Price Engagements

Cancellation terms are governed exclusively by the signed Engagement Letter. Unless otherwise agreed:
  • 0–25% completion → 30% payable
  • 26–50% → 60% payable
  • 51–100% → 100% payable plus third-party costs

9. Audits & Statutory Services

Once fieldwork or interim procedures commence, fees are 100% non-refundable due to mandatory regulatory obligations and reserved audit capacity.

10. Tax Returns & Compliance Deadlines

  • Cancellations accepted only before submission to authorities
  • After submission → no refund

10A. Urgent / Last-Minute Work

Where work is requested within 7 days of a statutory deadline, all fees become immediately non-refundable once accepted.

11. Non-Refundable Items (Always)

  • Government and regulatory fees
  • Third-party costs (translations, couriers, software)
  • Time already spent or capacity reserved
  • AML/KYC onboarding costs
  • Audit, payroll, or statutory deadline capacity

12. Rescheduling Rules

One complimentary reschedule is permitted with at least 48 hours’ notice. Any further changes or late requests are treated as cancellations.

13. Refund Process

  • Refund requests must be submitted in writing
  • Approved refunds processed within 10 business days
  • Refunds issued to original payment method
  • Bank and processing fees may be deducted

13A. Regulatory, Ethical & Independence Requirements

We may suspend or terminate services where required by law, regulation, or professional ethics. Fees for work already performed or capacity reserved remain payable.

14. Force Majeure & Exceptional Circumstances

In events beyond our control, we may offer rescheduling or pro-rata credit at our discretion. Cash refunds are not guaranteed.

14.1 Client-Side Force Majeure

Client-side disruptions do not automatically entitle refunds. Partial credit or rescheduling may be offered at our discretion.

15. Governing Law, Complaints & Contact

This Policy is governed by Cyprus Law and ICPAC professional regulations.

Complaints must be submitted in writing within 30 days. We acknowledge within 3 business days and respond substantively within 14 business days.
